Mission
"Global Partners for Youth (GPY) is an association of non-profit volunteer-intensive organizations around the world creating extraordinary results with high risk youth through community mentoring."
GPY is aligned to support and develop the common goal of empowering youth to become responsible, productive members of their communities. GPY provides an international forum in which to explore and exchange ideas, expertise, resources, curriculum, and to collaborate in the pursuit of broad-based public relations and fundraising.
GPY organizations serve high risk youth. They are at risk of dropping out of school, becoming teen parents, abusing drugs, using violent behavior, committing crimes, or ending up in prison. Many of our youth live in poverty surrounded by violence, substance abuse and few opportunities. In the absence of effective intervention programs, these circumstances leave them unprepared for employment, parenting, and making a contribution to society. Without implementing programs, such as those offered by GPY organizations, resignation will continue to be a widespread harsh reality. GPY organizations have been successful in making a significant difference in the lives of the youth that they serve.
